Why do Rednecks always look so goofy?

I live in a part of the country that is very much redneck. (im not talking about just good southern/country people, when i use redneck here i mean people who think that the best things in life involve realtree camo, carhart, nascar, and rodeos) anyway, i have noticed for a long time that these people (esp. the boys) always have this look about them that is incredibly goofy. its hard to explain. its not really as much of an expression as just a look. (kind of like how downs syndrome people all have a certain look) i was just wondering why this is. is it attitude based, genetic, or the result of brains melting due to too much country music? has anyone else noticed this?
