Question about shingles.....?

I was just wandering, if a guy has had shingles, but has supposedly recovered from it for about a week and a half, is there any chance he's still contagious?? As in like, if a girl kissed him would she then get shingles?? Sorry if I sound ignorant, but thanks for all sensible answers. 10 points will be awarded. Thanks x
