Filipinos! is taking the hand of the elders still alive/not shameful to do?

because i was thinking of what to do with the parents of my girlfriend if i will take their hand to my forehead or just do beso-beso (mom) and a simple handshake (dad) when i will pick her at their house for a date.......I already met her mom a lot of times but i dont have any idea how her father looks like.....help!
