How does one typically go about getting appointments with admissions directors of medical schools?

An answerer (Dr. L) suggested I meet with admissions directors for medical schools to determine my eligibility...I was just wondering if it's as easy as making an appointment with them? It seems like they would be bombarded with students if that was the case...any additional suggestions?
