Why does the Sports Media Want LSU in the Title game soooooooooo much?

The Sports Media were trying all week to campaign LSU in the National Championship game even before the losses by WV and MIZZOU last night. The Media was even trying to let LSU leapfrog Ohio St. if only one of the top two lost yesterday. I see some obvious LSU agendas here. If I were Georgia or VT (who won the ACC yesterday by the way) I would be furious if LSU weasels it's way into the Title game. Someone please help me understand 'why the media is on LSU's nuts so bad'? They lost last week ...remember.
